The thought that every born-again believer can operate in the power of THE BLESSING the same way Jesus or the early apostles did, amazes many Christians. They struggle to picture themselves multiplying natural resources (like loaves and fish), healing the sick or raising the dead. Yet, in the Bible, Jesus emphatically declared that any person with simple faith in Him could do all those things and more:
- “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.” (John 14:12)
- “And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.” (verses 13-14)
- “If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.” (Matthew 17:20)
- “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.” (Mark 16:17-18)
