Twice Sown Seed

September 11, 2009, by KCM No comments yet

When you give to Kenneth Copeland Ministries, people all over the world are set free…and in more ways than you might imagine!

twice-sown-seed.jpgKCM’s outreach goes far beyond the powerful voices the Lord has entrusted to us such as the BVOV broadcast, international meetings and this magazine. Our outreach extends to other ministries—trusted, effective ministries—all around the globe. This is because the first 10 percent of all gross income received by Kenneth Copeland Ministries from donations and sales is placed into a special, earmarked fund we call Twice-Sown Seed. In other words, when we receive a gift from you, we sow a portion of it again into another ministry—so every penny you give is twice sown—it’s twice as effective and will yield twice the eternal reward.

Together with the Lord, we are meeting needs and changing the world through the miracle-working, eternal equation of Twice-Sown Seed. Here are just a few examples:

  • Your seed supports KCM and its worldwide ministry operations.
  • Your seed reaches behind prison walls with Mike Barber Ministries.
  • Your seed shares love with “at risk” young women through Mercy Ministries homes for girls.
  • Your seed flies medical missionary teams to those in pain via Air Transport for Christ.
  • Your seed comforts people during disasters, shouts out at evangelistic outreaches, teaches children about the Lord and much, much more.

The list goes on and on, but the bottom line is this: When you give to Kenneth Copeland Ministries, your gift is immediately and globally multiplied with the greatest of stewardship. So when we say thank you for your faithfulness, we’re not just speaking for ourselves. We’re also speaking on behalf of many other ministries around the world. Through Twice-Sown Seed, when Partners and Friends like you give to KCM, you’re literally changing the face of the earth!

August 25, 2009, by KCM No comments yet

We recently posted this video on our Facebook page and we got such a positive response we wanted to share it with our blog readers as well. The video below is from the 2009 West Coast Believers’ Convention in Long Beach, CA.

Gloria’s family surprised her at the West Coast Believers’ Convention with a large bouquet of flowers and Kenneth Copeland sang a special song to mark the occasion. It’s a real tear-jerker, so you might want to have a dry sleeve nearby!

Kenneth Copeland Ministry donates Bibles to Liberal Arts College

July 20, 2009, by KCM No comments yet

Kenneth Copeland Ministries donates bibles to wiley collegeDid you know that when you give to Kenneth Copeland Ministries you are helping many other ministries? We’re pleased to share that we are donating 500 Bibles to Wiley College. Each freshman will receive a complimentary copy!

Wiley College, noted for its high academic standards and historic debate team featured in the 2008 movie “The Great Debaters”, directed by Mr. Denzel Washington, will receive over $8,000 worth of study Bibles for its 2009 freshman class.

Dr. Joseph L. Morale, Vice President for Student Affairs stated. “This gift will allow Wiley College to create a new tradition of providing each new student with a Bible. This is a gift that will truly keep on giving! Our heartfelt thanks are extended to the Copeland Ministry for their donation of these 500 Bibles.”

Founded in 1873 by Bishop Isaac T. Wiley, an outstanding minister, medical missionary and educator, Wiley College holds the distinction as one of the oldest historically black colleges west of the Mississippi River. Located in Marshall, TX, the 135 year old institution is affiliated with The United Methodist Church.

Kenneth & Gloria Copeland have long had a passion for investing in students lives. “A vital part of our 40+ years in ministry has been spreading God’s Word. We are truly grateful that Wiley College has allowed this ministry through our ministry partners and their donations to invest in these college students. We know the scriptures can be the cornerstone to help guide these young lives and have eternal impact.”

A Historic Moment, Jesus Begins Healing School — Kenneth Copeland Ministries

July 9, 2009, by KCM 1 comment

kenneth-and-gloria-copeland

Early one summer morning in 1979, Gloria Copeland woke up and slipped out onto the back porch of the family’s cabin in southwest Arkansas. While everyone else slept, she took the opportunity to pray.

It was in those quiet moments alone with God that Gloria remembered a prophecy she had recently received from someone that said she was about to hear from the Lord concerning something He wanted her to do.

Thinking about that prophecy, she spoke from her heart and said, “Lord, You know I’ll do anything You want me to do. Just tell me what it is.”

When she finished praying, Gloria went inside to get ready for the day. A few moments later, as she was bent over a sink washing her hair, God spoke to her and said, I want you to start teaching on healing in all the meetings.

Gloria heard the voice of God in her spirit in such a way she had never heard it before. It was strong and powerful. But what was really shocking was what God wanted her to do.

Me, Gloria Copeland…preach? And on healing?

Yet, she loved the Lord and His Word more than anything, so she never questioned whether or not she would obey. She just decided she would be another living example of 1 Corinthians 1:26-31…God calling the simple ones of this world to confound the wise.

I want My people well. I have desired for My people to walk in health. I have desired for My people to know how to walk in health regardless of what ministry is in town.

I want My people to know how to take My Word, and stand on My Word, and receive My healing power and know that I am the Lord. I want My people to walk with Me in health and life and know the good things that I have prepared for them.

I have set a table before you in the presence of your enemies. You shall not be an orphan group. You shall not be hungry. You shall not be in want, for I am the God-Provider. I am the Lord God that heals you…. I will have My people well, saith God.

So My instruction to this ministry is: Continue this Healing School…until I return.

- Prophecy spoken to Gloria Copeland by Kenneth Copeland, 1980

In September 1979, three months after that encounter with God, Kenneth and Gloria Copeland obeyed God by adding a Healing School to each of the meetings they had scheduled for the rest of that year — and Gloria began teaching on healing. It was during those meetings that the Lord also instructed her to begin laying hands on the sick and praying for them. So she did.

By the beginning of the next year, with a few meetings behind her, Gloria thought she was finished. She had obeyed God, and thought she could stop now. But then another prophecy came. And this time, it was clear to Gloria when God intended for Healing School to end. He wanted her to preach healing, and He wanted her to preach it until Jesus returns.

Today, almost 28 years later, Gloria Copeland has taught Healing School around the world to countless numbers of people. In Healing School, she steps out onto a platform in an auditorium full of people and boldly declares-Jesus always comes to Healing School!

And thousands of people have received God’s Word on divine healing and have applied it to their lives-and thousands have seen the results. To God be the glory!

A Historic Moment: Reaching a Nation Behind Bars

June 12, 2009, by KCM No comments yet

“…And the greatest revival of all shall be in the prisons of the land. Great ministers of the gospel shall come out of prisons all over this nation. All over this world.” — Prophecy given by Kenneth Copeland at December 25, 1994

The mission of Kenneth Copeland Ministries is to preach the gospel from the top of the world to the bottom and all the way around. Through every available voice, whether in person or by print or electronic media, KCM is taking the good news of Jesus the Anointed One and His Anointing to every nation. And that includes one of the largest segments of American society — the prison population.

KCM’s prison outreach began in 1981 by corresponding with inmates on a personal basis and supporting various aspects of criminal justice ministry. One way Kenneth and Gloria Copeland establish more personal contact with prisoners is through correspondence and books. Although they cannot read every letter personally, they have a prison ministry staff to ensure every letter, order or prayer request is read and responded to promptly. The goal is a quick personal response — something that can be especially important to inmates.

Over the years KCM has made much effort to minister life and peace through the power of the anointing to those behind bars: things like donating $250,000 to construct a 500-seat chapel for inmates in Gatesville, Texas; supplying books and other resources for inmates and chaplains; and visiting inmates to share the Word and give encouragement. One of the most dynamic aspects of KCM’s outreach has been through its association with Mike Barber Ministries, an outreach dedicated solely to prison ministry.

In 1995, Barber became the catalyst enabling KCM to broadcast the Eagle Mountain Motorcycle Rally live via satellite to prisons in Texas and 15 other states. In Texas alone, 87 of the 104 state prisons received the satellite broadcast. To more than 150,000 men and women who had access to the broadcast, Brother Copeland’s message was clear and strong — God is for you, not against you!

“Our ministry to prisons is just an extension of Kenneth Copeland Ministries because we are partners together in the work,” Barber says.

The prison ministry at KCM, which geared up for thousands when contacts from prisoners could be numbered in the hundreds, is now preparing for ministry to tens of thousands. The importance of that preparation continues to be confirmed by the Word of the Lord to His people.

Check out Gordon Frye’s testimony about how KCM ministered to him while he was in prison.
