Put the Devil on the Run!

January 30, 2012, by KCM No comments yet

by Kenneth Copeland.

Jesus is the Christ. The Greek word Christ means “the Anointed One.” And since Isaiah 10:27 tells us the yoke of the devil is destroyed by the anointing, we don’t have to run scared when the devil comes against us, our loved ones or our nation. We can put him to flight with the blood of the Lamb, the word of our testimony and the yoke-destroying Anointing of Jesus Christ Himself!

That’s what Jesus expects us to do, He has already taken care of every kin of trouble that could ever come to the human family when He was put on the Cross, raised from the dead, and glorified at the right hand of the Father. He spoiled the principalities and powers of darkness. He triumphed over them and made an open show of them (Colossians 2:15). He stripped the devil of every last last vestige of power.

Jesus has done His part. He has taken back the devil’s authority over the earth and He has given it to us. Just before He ascended to heaven He said, “All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore…” (Matthew 28:18-19). He delegated His power and authority to us-His Church-then “after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, [he] sat down on the right hand of God; from henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool” (Hebrews 10:12-13).

More Fun Than You Ever Had

December 29, 2011, by KCM 3 comments

by Kenneth Copeland.

If you are wondering why things are going to be all right in your life when they are going so wrong everywhere else, it’s because, as a believer, you’re in covenant with God. You’re called, appointed and anointed to be a distributor of His blessings. You’re divinely commissioned to bring help to a hurting world.

“But Brother Copeland, I don’t have anything to give!”

That’s not true. Second Corinthians 9:10 says that Jesus “ministereth seed to the sower….” The word minister there is an important word. It refers to “someone who is appointed to administer or manage something for the good of someone else.” It can be used to refer to the administrator of a trust fund or the executor of an estate. A minister uses what’s entrusted to him to improve the life and situation of another.

Jesus is the High Priest or the High Administrator of the Body of Christ. He is the executor of God’s wealth, which belongs to us through our covenant with Him. We are the priests (Revelation 1:6) who operate under His authority and minister that wealth to others as He directs.

The Bible assures us that Jesus, as our High Priest, has already ministered to us something we can give. So, no matter how financially strapped you may be, you still have enough to bless some- one. If it’s not in your bank account, it might be in the back of your closet. If it’s not in your wallet, it might be in your attic.

Actually, everything you do and every word you say can become a ministering seed. Just by purposing to do it, you can be a blessing to everyone with whom you come in contact. You can find ways to prosper people wherever you go.

When you’re staying in a hotel, for instance, don’t gather up all the tiny soap bars and shampoo bottles and stick them in your suitcase. Although they’re included in the price of the room, you won’t ever use them. But the hotel proprietor will. So bless him with them. Sow them back into his business and be a minister of his prosperity.

Do that kind of thing all the time. Always be on the lookout for ways to encourage people. Smile at them. Tell them you appreciate them. Minister love, kindness and joy to them.

Before you leave the house in the morning, say, “Lord, I’m Your minister today. I am a minister of salvation to those who want to receive You as Lord. I am a minister of healing to the sick. I am a minister of finances, bread and goodness. I am anything You need me to be.”

When you start living with that attitude it doesn’t take long for your life to absolutely turn around. The minute you truly start seeking first God’s kingdom and His righteousness, living by faith and love, you are well on your way to always having.

You’re also about to have more fun than you’ve ever had in your life.

THIS is going to be big: because GOD is in it!

November 11, 2011, by KCM 5 comments

Dear Partners and Friends,

I am excited to announce that God has raised up Riley Stephenson, an on-fire evangelist who has been our outreach minister for years, to take on a full-time role in expanding our evangelistic efforts.

Dad says, “Riley is the soul-winning-est man I have ever known in my entire life.  I’m just glad to call him my friend.”

You’ll be seeing Riley all over the place as he’ll be working with churches, ministries and individuals throughout the country—wherever it’s needed—to take their ministries to the next level.

The key is training. Without it, evangelism can be one of the hardest things for a Christian to do. And Riley is gifted at teaching us step-by-step how to share the Word with confidence so it becomes easy.

Imagine:

  • Confidently sharing your faith in any situation
  • Leading your lost family and friends to Jesus
  • Reaching out to places crippled by disasters—from your prayers and twice-sown seeds through KCM
  • Equipping your church or ministry to take it to the next level

All of this will happen and more. So be looking for Riley’s training videos soon.

You can connect with Riley through the www.thecityreach.com

And if you are a Partner church pastor and would like to have Riley come and help you with an evangelism outreach to your city, you can contact him today by emailing reachout@kcm.org.

Please pray for Riley and KCM as we expand our evangelistic outreach. Together KCM and its Partners are transforming lives through the Word and the power of the Spirit!

Born to Reign

October 21, 2011, by KCM 5 comments

If we truly understood who we are in Jesus and what He has done for us, Christians would be the most confident people on earth. Insecurity would be banished from our lives forever. We’d reign in life as kings. We’d walk around on this planet like we own it.

Because, the fact is, we do.

As joint heirs with Jesus, we are the seed of Abraham. We are inheritors of THE BLESSING that made the whole world his possession (Galatians 3:29, Romans 4:13). This earth belongs to us just as surely as the Promised Land belonged to Isaac back in the day when God said to him: “Sojourn in this land, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee; for unto thee, and unto thy seed, I will give all these countries, and I will perform the oath which I sware unto Abraham thy father” (Genesis 26:3).

Taking Refuge in the Secret Place

October 14, 2011, by KCM 4 comments

I believe every word God says in Psalm 91 (and the rest of the Bible too, for that matter). I believe with all my heart that if I dwell “in the secret place of the most High [and] shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty,” if “I say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust,” then surely—absolutely, for sure, without a doubt—“He shall deliver [me] from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence” (Psalm 91:1-3).

What exactly is the snare of the fowler? It’s any trap, hazard or harm that Satan might throw in our path.

What’s a noisome pestilence? It’s any damaging or deadly sickness, disease, plague or substance that has ever existed in the past or will ever exist in the future.

When you think about it, just those two phrases offer us all the protection we’ll ever need. They cover every kind of danger we could possibly encounter. But even so, Psalm 91 doesn’t stop there.

It goes on to tell us that when we’re under God’s protection, we will “not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day” (verse 5). We don’t have to lie awake at night worrying about what might be lurking out there in the darkness, we can sleep in peace. If we or our loved ones are serving in the military, we don’t have to be afraid of arrows or bullets or missiles or grenades or IEDs. We don’t have to fret about natural disasters like fires, earthquakes, tornados, tsunamis, storms, or any other kind of “destruction and sudden death that surprise and lay waste at noonday” (verse 6, The Amplified Bible).

As massive and destructive as such things might be, God can get us through them all in perfect safety. He can surround us with His power so that, as verse 7 says, even if “a thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.”

If you think that kind of protection sounds too good to be true, all you have to do is keep reading and you’ll see that Psalm 91 promises it again and again. It says, for example, that “because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; there shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling” (verses 9-10).

The word refuge means “a tent or a covering.” It’s something that encloses you. Think of it! When we trust God as our refuge, we walk around enclosed by the Spirit of the living, Almighty God!

A Reborn Race

October 7, 2011, by KCM 1 comment

The thought that every born-again believer can operate in the power of THE BLESSING the same way Jesus or the early apostles did, amazes many Christians. They struggle to picture themselves multiplying natural resources (like loaves and fish), healing the sick or raising the dead. Yet, in the Bible, Jesus emphatically declared that any person with simple faith in Him could do all those things and more:

  • “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.” (John 14:12)
  • “And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.” (verses 13-14)
  • “If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.” (Matthew 17:20)
  • “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.” (Mark 16:17-18)

Thanksgiving and Praise

November 26, 2009, by KCM 1 comment

thanksgiving.jpg

The Bible says if you pray according to God’s will, you know He hears you and you have the petitions you desired of Him (I John 5:14-15). God’s Word is His will.

God is faithful. His Word can be relied on. Don’t wait until you can see the manifestation before you believe you have it. That will put you over into an area of waiting and hoping. If you believe you receive when you pray, begin to praise God for the answer.

Faith involves thanksgiving and praise. Philippians 4:6 says, “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.” Thanksgiving and praise are integral parts of prayer.

You and God are working together. It is your prayer and His power.

Praise is more than just words. There is power in it. God did not ordain praise just so we could brag on Him. Psalms 8:1-2 says, “O Lord our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens. Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.” Jesus quoted this verse of scripture and said, “Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise” (Matthew 21:16). Strength and praise are the same according to the Word of God. God ordained praise to stop Satan in his tracks.

Once you have believed that you received because of the Word, your faith is in action. Through praise, you are throwing your faith up against that mountain of adversity in your life. Jesus said if you have faith and doubt not, you can speak to the mountain and it will be removed. You will have what you say. If you quit applying the force of faith, the mountain will not be removed. You want the mountain to keep moving until it sinks into the sea and is completely out of sight! Apply the force of faith by praising God that it is gone!

The only way Satan can stop you and your faith is through unbelief. He does not have power to stop God. He cannot stop that mountain from moving into the sea. The only way he can succeed is to make you quit applying the pressure.

The mountain may be sickness, disease, alcohol, family trouble, financial trouble or any evil work. Jesus bought and paid for the answer to all of it. You cannot face any problem that has not been taken care of through Calvary’s Cross.

The psalmist David said, “I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will show forth all thy marvelous works. I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High. When mine enemies are turned back, they shall fall and perish at thy presence” (Psalms 9:1-3). He did not say if. He said when the enemies fall back! As you praise God, those enemies will retreat. The Bible says He inhabits the praises of His people (Psalms 22:3).

Praise is not something you just feel once in a while. God is worthy of your praise. The Bible says to offer the sacrifice of praise. What did Israel do in the Old Testament when they had problems they could not overcome? The priest would offer sacrifices to God to bring Him on the scene and God would stop the onslaught of the enemy. As a new covenant believer, you are a priest of God. No other sacrifice can be offered. Jesus offered the ultimate blood sacrifice. As a priest, you offer the sacrifice of praise. Hebrews 13:15 says, “By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.”

In Luke 17, Jesus ministered to 10 men who had leprosy. They said, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us. And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go show yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed” (verses 13-14). Verse 15 says, “And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified [praised] God.” They were all cleansed. But only one praised God unashamedly. Jesus said, “Were not the ten cleansed? but where are the nine?” Then He said to the man, “…Thy faith hath made thee whole” (verse 19). The others were cleansed but he was made whole! His faith kept working. His mountain did not stop at the seashore or sink halfway into the sea! No trace of his mountain was left. Whatever the disease had destroyed was restored.

That is the kind of power you can have right now in your own life. If you are not familiar with praising God, or it makes you feel uncomfortable, ask God to show you how. You can start by reading the Psalms aloud. They speak of the great and mighty works of God. They praise Him for His goodness, power and mercy. God is faithful to perfect your praises!

Happy Thanksgiving from Kenneth Copeland Ministries!
